Examination System

The evaluation shall include two types of assessments.

Continuous or formative assessment;

Summative assessment in the form of end semester examination or term end examination.

The weightage for different components of assessments for Open and Distance Learning mode shall be as under:

Continuous or formative assessment (in semester): Maximum 30 per cent.

Summative assessment (end semester examination or term end examination): Minimum 70 per cent.

Dissertation/Thesis: For dissertation/thesis for UG and PG degree programmes, wherever specified in the syllabus, the evaluation shall be done and marks awarded by a Committee comprising of an internal examiner, who will ordinarily be the supervisor, and one or more external examiners. The examiners shall be appointed by the President, out of a panel of three or more names suggested by the Department concerned.
The results of a semester (including both end term examinations and internal assessment) shall be declared by the Controller of Examinations. The Grade Card containing the Grades obtained by a student in various courses shall be issued by the Controller of Examinations, after the declaration of the result.

ABC ID Creation Process
Process Students can register by logging in at www.abc.digilocker.gov.in Click on My Account → Login as Student Click on “Sign up with Digi Locker” → Enter a valid mobile number → An OTP is sent to the phone number via SMS → Enter the OTP and click on the “Continue” button → Enter the Security PIN set during Sign Up and click the “Submit” button. You will be prompted with an ABC student account creation window. Note: The university should also create an ABC ID.

- Requirements by Academic Institution
- Mobile Number

All students at CDOE-VGU are hereby requested to mandatorily create and submit their ABC ids for successful transfer of credits by the University to the central credit bank within 15 days of enrollment generation. Without ABC id students will not be allowed to appear in end-term examination.

Students who already have ABC id created, please submit the id along with your enrolment number at srm@onlinevgu.com to integrate with the ERP.

Student who are yet to create their ABC id, please follow the steps below:


1. Login to DigiLocker Account (create DigiLocker Account if not created already)

2. Search for Education category

3. Select your University (VGU, Jaipur)

4. Click on Generate ABC Id

5. You may check your accumulated credits by logging on to abc.gov.in
